New Hartford Day 2015

Mark your calendars now! New Hartford Day is coming up and this year’s theme is Emergency Services and Public Protection. We will be there next to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital's booth and we will be teaching hands only CPR to anyone who wants to learn. It will be held on September 20th at Brodie Park in New Hartford. We look forward to seeing you there!

This Week 8/15/2015

This Week NHVA responded to 13 calls including a second crew call. This week a relative of a patient came in to thank the crew that responded. We always appreciate that. Several members also took part in a CPR refresher class this weekend. CORRECTION: The Winsted Parade is actually Saturday August 22nd at 5 P.M.

This Week 8/9/2015

This week NHVA responded to 9 calls this week including a second crew call. One ambulance was provided Mutual Aid to Winsted. We are looking forward to the Winsted Parade on the 15 at 6:30. We hope to see you there.

This Week 8/1/2015

This week NHVA responded to 19 calls including 1 second crew call. We thank the Berkshire Trail Riders for choosing New Hartford as their race location for the second year. Members who responded to a serious MVC last week held an after action review as part of our mission to always provide better care. NHVA also assisted 9 fire departments at a structure fire in Barkhamsted earlier this week.

This Week 7/25/2015

This week NHVA responded to 24 calls including 3 second crew calls and 1 third crew call. Fortunately NH-3 came back from the dealer earlier this week. A special thank you to the UCONN Health Center Fire Department paramedics and both Lifestar helicopters who responded to a MVA in town. Our thoughts and prayers are with those involved.
Due to our call volume, we were unable to attend the East Hartland parade this year, however our goal to continue community CPR education in the community is still valuable. Our next parade is Winsted on August 15th, we hope to see you there.

This Week 7/19/2015

This week NHVA responded to 25 calls including 4 second crew calls. In between our members participated in the monthly meeting in which we were trained on our new slide sheets and special dressings for chest wounds and welcomed four new members. Some of our members also participated in this year’s Canaan parade. We are looking forward to this year’s East Hartland Parade on Saturday and look forward to seeing you there and hope you enjoy the sneak peek from last year!

Tunxis Parade 2015

A special thank you to our members who represented us the Tunxis Parade in Farmington on Saturday. No trophies this time but keep your eyes peeled for the East Hartland VFD parade on July 25th at 6:30pm.
